His French father, Alphonse Dubois, a talented musician, accustomed to playing the great theatres and opera houses of the continent, and his Polish mother, beautiful soprano Magdalena Bukoski, known for her soaring voice. The two encountered one another in Magdalena's hometown of Gdansk in Poland, falling for each other instantly, and within the year they were wed. Shortly after, Anton followed, the couple's only child, but their pride and joy without doubt. Anton grew up in the dressing rooms and backstage areas of many clubs and theatres across Europe, the family travelling regularly for performances, introducing him to a wide variety of colourful characters and the Bohemian lifestyle. At little more than a toddler, it was clear for all to see that music was in his blood and before long it became evident that the boy had a natural skill when it came to dance, learning both from tutors and from those they came across on their travels.As Anton grew into his teenage years, yearning for consistency, his mother retired from her singing career, and the family settled in his father's home of Paris, with Alphonse taking work as a musician in one of the local theatres, and Magdalena taking up work as a seamstress. With fixed lodging, Anton was able to focus more on his dancing, studying hard and had begun to draw the attention of prestigious ballet schools, with the possibility of training and moving into professional work. However, at the age of sixteen, Anton first discovered the Moulin Rouge. Fascinated by the club and it's liberties, and to his parent's disappointment, Anton turned down the offers from the ballet, and began working at the club instead, doing a few shifts as a waiter before quickly progressing to become one of their dancers, regularly being partnered with one of their performers known as Nini. Within a few years, Anton had been promoted to dance captain, assisting with running auditions and rehearsing understudies and swings. When necessary, Anton will also sometimes offer translation services to those patrons who may not be well versed in French, due to his own wide knowledge accumulated from his family's travels.At the time of canon events, Anton is twenty four years old, and one of the stalwarts of the Moulin Rouge company. Dedicated, calm, and unflappable, he takes to the new production of Bohemian Rhapsody with gusto, though holds some wariness for their new aristocratic benefactor. He sees it as his duty to help keep the show running, and to look after his fellow dancers as best he can.  CANONICAL FATE:   Anton's is one of the few fates for those in the Moulin Rouge to be particularly extended. After Satine's death, he continues his work in the Moulin Rouge, and is the unlucky one to come across the dying Pierre, staying with him until he passes. His place remains with the club up until the death of Babydoll. After this, the grief upon being in the club is too much for him to bear and he quits. After a short while, he finds work at the Paris Opera Ballet, teaching and on occasion choreographing. It's a far cry from the Rouge, but a welcome distraction. Eventually he settles down and has a family of his own. In 1914, when the world turns to war, he is conscripted, but miraculously makes it home again, and the family relocates to Switzerland shortly after the war, where they live contentedly. Within this verse, up until a point, it is likely that Anton will have acted on his crush on Babydoll and the two will be pursuing a secret relationship.

The family were poor, only just scraping by and living in cramped quarters, however their tiny home was full of love between parents and siblings alike, even as they relocated to Paris for work purposes when Marie was just a toddler. It was, however, a house also filled with grief. By the time Marie was born, her parents had already lost a son Luc, and two daughters Ingrid and Nathalie, to a combination of disease and cot death, losses which greatly affected her mother, who would sometimes take to her bed, weighed down by her grief and leaving her living children to care for each other for a time. The further loss of another son, Georges, at the age of two, when Marie was three years old, caused further struggle.But tragedy was not done with the family. In 1889, scarlet fever took the youngest daughter Ilse, and only a few short months later, in the early summer of 1890, death claimed thirteen year old Daniel when he lost control while swimming, as well as the family patriarch who attempted to rescue him. Such losses left their mother nearly catatonic, and an eleven year old Marie did her best to help, as well as process suddenly being without a father. Surviving with the loss of income was difficult, proving even harder when a cholera outbreak in 1892 devastated both the city and the Sabatier family, leaving Marie and only two siblings: her elder brother Theo who had returned to Belgium in 1888 to follow a trade, and her elder sister Elisabeth, who was three years married with a family of her own in Bruges. Marie was on her own, and with nowhere else to go, found herself on the streets at fourteen.Before long, she found herself drawn into the world of the underground clubs in order to survive, enduring abuse and hardships on a daily basis in a desperate attempt to get by. At the same time, she began to transition and reinvent herself, taking on the name Marie, and finally feeling a little more true to who she really was. It was one of the darkest times of her life, without doubt, and one she does not enjoy looking back on. There are very few with whom she will actually talk about it with. It was during this time that she first met Pierre Brosseau (@bitmorerouge) who she would come to consider as an adoptive brother of sorts.In late 1897, while in a particular low, she was found outside one of the underground clubs by Nini and Satine. Then and there, she was offered a chance at a new life, a chance to come to the Moulin Rouge, to sing and dance there, and be one of the prestigious Lady M's. Unsurprisingly, she leapt at the opportunity, taking any chance for freedom and a better life. Thus, Baby Doll was born, and she's been at the Moulin Rouge ever since. She's been able to afford a tiny apartment of her own and has found a new family within the company of the club.By the time of canon events, Baby Doll is twenty years old (and turns twenty one within the span of the show). Ever the romantic and optimist, she finds the prospect of the new show and their new patron thrilling and exciting, too naive to see it for what it really is. Dependent on verse, she may also be in an established relationship with fellow dancer Adonis (@bitmorerouge).  Canonical Fate:    Baby Doll's fate after the events of canon is not a happy thing. She remains at the Moulin Rouge, reluctant to leave the place that's like home to her, even as several members of their 'family' choose to go elsewhere. Moving in with Adonis, the two continue their relationship. When she was four years old, in 1870, the family relocated to Europe to find work there, and it was there that her younger brother John was born in 1871, followed by a younger sister Lucille in 1874. With her parents working, it regularly fell to Bernadette to look after her younger siblings, which she never minded much, as well as doing whatever work she could herself whenever the opportunity came up. Her siblings were never too much trouble, and the three of them were all rather close, spending the majority of their time together.As Bernadette grew into her teenage years, and work became more steady, the family were finally able to settle down somewhat in Paris. Life still wasn't easy however, with all of them generally living hand to mouth, and in close contact with the city's seedier side. Still, there was something rather reassuring about the consistency, about no longer having to regularly pack up and move on with every little turn of work. Finally, she could get to know a place for longer than a season.In the early days of 1883 however, the family were rocked by the sudden death of her father, leaving the family without it's patriarch. Her mother made the decision to move the family back to Sierra Leone in the February. Bernadette however, in a rush of boldness, elected to stay in Paris by herself, at only seventeen years old, not wanting to leave the city that she had grown to love, as well as the love affair that she had secretly begun with a low level aristocrat, convinced in her own mind that they would have a fantastical romantic relationship.That mental image however was tarnished when she fell pregnant in the April of 1883, and shortly after she found out, her lover abandoned her, leaving her to figure things out for herself. With great difficulty, she kept going and working through her pregnancy, and after an extremely difficult birth that rendered her infertile, gave birth to her daughter Angeline on the first day of the new year of 1884. Though she had never before imagined herself as a mother, Bernadette instantly fell in love with and doted on Angeline, wholly devoted to her little girl. For the first two years of Angeline's life, she struggled with work, and in January of 1886, began performing in the local clubs at the age of nineteen. It wasn't an easy life, but she made it work, with Angeline being the light of her life.However, things would soon take a turn. In the September of 1890, tragedy struck, when Angeline died suddenly of heart failure. Unbeknownst to all, the little girl had been born with a genetic heart defect, and that combined with a winter illness had been a lethal mix. Bernadette was heartbroken over the loss, unable to bring herself to work for several months, until in March 1891, she received a job at the Moulin Rouge, becoming one of the original Lady M's alongside Nini, and taking on the pseudonum 'La Chocolat'. La Chocolat is not to be messed with; she knows her worth, and has absolutely zero time for both nonsense and those who would try to mess with her sisters.  Canonical Fate    La Chocolat continues to work in the Moulin Rouge in the years following Satine's death, always remaining part of the illustrious Lady M, with no intention of ever ascending to Diamond status and content to support her sisters. He came as a surprise, as his parents had thought they were finished with having children after a number of miscarriages, and as such he was doted on as the baby of the family, perhaps even spoiled a little. As a child, he was known for being mischievous and rambunctious, always bouncing about from activity to activity, and rarely ever seeming to sit still for long. This energy persisted as he grew older, coupled with an intense desire to see more of the world around him.As such, once he reached adulthood, Danilo knew that he wanted to travel. He worked for a time in order to save up, and then used his savings, combined with money from family to set off. Eventually, he found himself in Paris, and decided that he would settle there for a time, in order to work and earn money and also to get a taste for the Bohemian lifestyle there, fascinated by all of the people he had met. Though it took a little time, when he heard news of auditions for company members for the Moulin Rouge. Having visited the prestigious club a few times, he leapt at the chance, confident in his own abilities.The auditions were tough, but Danilo persevered, and his determination paid off. Danilo was hired to the Moulin Rouge as a swing. He threw himself into the role with gusto, just as the company were beginning rehearsals for their new show of Bohemian Rhapsody.  Canonical Fate    Danilo continues to work in the Moulin Rouge for a short amount of time following Satine's death. However, in 1901, he elects to leave Paris, speaking about his desire to travel more and see more parts of the world, but promising to remain in contact. For several years after that, his close friends receive letters and the occasional small parcel from him, regaling stories of his travels. Indeed, her diminutive stature often had others fooled, thinking her an easy mark, when it was actually quite the opposite.In the middle of 1890, when Dolly was eleven years old, her father was killed in a factory accident. Though the family struggled with the loss, her older brothers helped to keep them afloat, taking on extra work in order to help provide enough for her and their mother, refusing Dolly's suggestion that she could leave school to find work and help out as well.Still, Dolly had always wanted to see the world beyond their little corner of Brooklyn. They lived together for several years, however Dolly was called to go home to the USA for a time upon hearing that one of her brothers had been hurt in an accident. Somewhat reluctantly, she left Arabia in Paris, making the long journey back to Brooklyn. However, her return journey was delayed by a day, and when she returned to Paris, her love was dead. For several years, she does her best to work to support herself, eventually reconnecting with Salomon. Born out of wedlock, the unwanted son of a Spanish criminal father and a French mother, he learned early to do what he had to do to survive, his father teaching him tricks of his trade on the occasions that he was about, and sometimes using the boy for his criminal operations. When he was only a few years old, his mother married, but not to his father, instead to a German man, Moritz Brauer, and the two would go on to have Pierre's younger half-sibling, Lukas (@bitmorerouge).Lukas was the one bright spot in young Pierre's life, like a little shadow for him, and Pierre did his best to be the best big brother that he could be, despite the hostile environment of a step-father who did not want anything to do with him, and a mother who turned a blind eye to the abuse her husband subjected her eldest to. The boy did what he had to do, often pick-pocketing on the street in order to try and keep his belly full. By the time he turned ten, however, Moritz Brauer had had enough of supporting a child who was not his own, and Pierre found himself on the streets.Despite the exile, and the threat from his step-father, Pierre was not discouraged in being there for his little sibling, and would regularly sneak into the family home to spend time with Lukas, to reassure them and tell them stories, and often they would sneak him food in return. This however came to an end when the patriarch of the house caught him, and after a horrific beating, tossed him back out on the street again. When he next dared to sneak into the home, he found it empty, his family gone, and for the first time Pierre found himself to be truly alone.From there, he survived on the streets, doing whatever he had to in order to get by, and regardless of it's legality. In 1894, at the age of eighteen, through a stroke of luck, he was able to secure work at the Moulin Rouge, finally earning a steady wage, though his pickpocket tendencies did not entirely leave him. Within eighteen months, he had also earned the attention of the proprietor and impresario of the Moulin Rouge, one Harold Zidler. The two formed a sort of mutually beneficial relationship, with Pierre acting as a companion to him, and, though he might fear to admit it, falling in love with the older man. Where needed, he would work both behind the bar, as well as on stage, sharing living quarters with Harold.In 1899, the arrival of the Duke of Monroth changed things both for the club itself, as well as their little family. All too aware of the club's financial struggles through his close relationship with Harold, Pierre knew the danger they were all in, and, under encouragement from his significant other, turned his charm towards the Duke, in hope of being able to assist in securing monetary support. However, he instead found himself under private employ of the aristocrat, driven by his own subconscious need to survive, and fed the man whatever gossip could be gleaned from the Rouge and it's inhabitants. Before long, he was in too deep, and in danger himself, lest he no longer be able to provide.  Canonical Fate    With Satine dead, and his position as the Duke's mole discovered, Pierre retreats into himself, doing his best to avoid any interaction with any other member of the Rouge, including Harold. Beset with guilt, he takes the money had had been receiving from the Duke and anonymously slips it into the funds raised for Satine's funeral. With nowhere else to go, he lives out of his tiny dressing room.Then, as the winter draws to a close, while out for a walk before a rehearsal, Pierre elected to take a shortcut down a side street near the Rouge. Born and raised in the city of Granada in Spain, he has two younger sisters, Milagro (born in 1869) and Soledad (born in 1871), as well as younger brother Vidal (born in 1876). The family lived a simple life in the city, with their father working in the local school where all of his children would study, and their mother taking care of their home, alongside taking on small altering and sewing jobs for other local families. It was enough to keep the roof over their heads, though they had little in regards to luxuries, but still the family was happy, and their home full of love.As a small child, it was first noticed that Salomon appeared to have some minor hearing loss in his left ear, which was further confirmed by a doctor, though to his parent's relief, there was no damage or harm coming from such a situation. As a boy he was capable of working around it and adjusting his surroundings in order to be able to hear more clearly, though noisy and crowded environments remain a struggle at times. Even when younger, he showed a great aptitude for working with his hands and left school to pursue an apprenticeship with a local carpenter, also studying some aspects of metalwork, and took this on as a profession once his study was complete. He remained in Granada, working and often sending money back to his parents to further help support them, even when his siblings had become adults.In 1899, he decided to travel to Paris, to follow the recent journey of his younger brother Vidal, and it was thus that he discovered the Moulin Rouge, just as Vidal had before him. He achieved a job there as a swing, occasionally performing on stage but more frequently working backstage, helping with set pieces and technical aspects, using his own proficiencies to assist and benefit the club.  Canonical Fate    Salomon continues working for the Moulin Rouge for a time before electing to return to Spain in 1910, taking up work there as a carpenter, though he remains in close contact with Vidal. His father Francisco owned a club in the city, while his mother Caterina was a dancer, so music and dance has always been something quite inherent to him. As the second child of the family, he has an older brother Francisco (named for their father, born in 1866), three younger sisters; Maria (born in 1872), Carmen (born in 1876) and Paola (born in 1885), and a younger brother Mateo (born in 1879). Santiago learned to dance near enough as soon as he could walk, toddling around after his mother and losing himself in the music that was the soundtrack to his childhood. It quickly became evident that he had inherited his mother's talent, and as the second son, there was no pressure to inherit the family business, allowing him to further develop his skill without concern. It came along naturally for him to find work as a dancing companion, a career which turned out to be more lucrative than he had initially considered.Growing up in the club meant that he also heard so many stories of the world outside of their little city. Stories of adventure, of romance, of passion, artistry, all of which piqued the Argentinian's interest. There was so much outside of his home that he had not seen, so much that he wished to see, to learn. With the money that he had saved, as well as with some assistance from his family, Santiago booked passage on a ship, setting sail for Paris two weeks after his twenty-third birthday, bidding his family goodbye and going off to the world he had heard so much about from their patron's tales.Montmartre was everything he could have imagined and more. It was somehow both somewhat seedy, and yet also full of passion, of art and vibrancy and life in a way that made Santiago's heart spark with joy. Recreating his previous career was not too difficult, particularly with his dancing skill alongside his Argentinian nationality providing an allure to certain customers. Three months after arriving, Santiago first encountered the artist Toulouse-Lautrec. The two quickly became close friends, and after a short time they began to co-habitate, sharing the artist's apartment in the heart of Montmartre. It was Toulouse who first brought Santiago along to the place that would entirely change his life, the Moulin Rouge. Even before stepping inside, the Argentinian was fascinated, but it would be within its walls and on its stage that he would lay eyes on the woman who would quickly consume his every thought and desire, though she would certainly make him work for it: Nini. The two for a long time would go back and forth, with Santiago constantly giving chase and Nini retorting back with her sharp tongue. And yet all the while, the two grew closer, with a relationship eventually forming.  Canonical Fate    After the loss of Satine, Santiago remained a permanent fixture at the Moulin Rouge, doing his best to support both Nini, as well as Toulouse and Christian. In 1901, after an ailing Toulouse returned to his family home, Santiago lived for a short while in their shared apartment alone, before moving in with Nini. When news arrived to Paris of the artist's death, Santiago was crushed with grief, but through the support of those around him, came through it. He and Nini married in a small private ceremony, and for a while, things seemed to be on the up. Though not expected, he was a welcome addition to their little family who lived a simple life in Granada, Spain. Though luxuries were not a common prospect, the family was happy and shared a lot of love.Though Vidal always loved his home life dearly, he had been eager to explore from a young age, curious about the world around him and what it might have in store. Wanting to travel, they left home at nineteen, taking work wherever they might get it and taking in the sights of Europe, satisfying some of that wanderlust that had encapsulated them.It was in the middle of 1898 that Vidal came to Paris for the first time, becoming bewitched by the city and by Montmartre and it's resident Bohemians. Deciding to settle down for a bit, he found work in the Moulin Rouge, first as a bartender, but then slipping into a dancing role and even playing some music as well. Alongside some friends and colleagues, he created a number of businesses, particularly within the entertainment sector, an area which he was particularly fond of.In order to conceal his homosexuality, Harold chose to marry. As such, he hatched a plan with one of his closest friends, a young woman named Anais Laurent. Both choosing to mask their sexualities, the two married in 1865, with the agreement that both could then engage in affairs outside of their relationship, an agreement which worked well for both of them. With additional pressures, they later agreed to try for a child, and Theo was born in the summer of 1871, the pride and joy of both of his parents.In 1889, Harold and a colleague founded the cabaret club known as the Moulin Rouge. The club quickly gained a reputation for being a lavish and delightful place, where all, both rich and poor, were welcomed, and where anybody could find something with which to satiate their desire. The club became popular, gaining quite an audience among both aristocracy and Bohemians alike.In 1899, however, with the considerable expense of electric light, the coffers of the Moulin Rouge have grown extremely thin, leaving Zidler to look to their rich patrons in hopes of finding a benefactor who might keep them going. At this time, he also has a relationship of sorts with Pierre, one of the ensemble dancers, which has been ongoing for a few years.  Canonical Fate    After the death of Satine, with some difficulty, Harold is able to keep the Moulin Rouge open, though doing so provides considerable strain to him. A younger brother Richard was born in 1864, however passed the following year. This event led to the separation of his parents, and Toulouse was cared for primarily by a nanny. By the age of eight, he was living in Paris with his mother, often spending times drawing sketches in his schoolbooks. It was in Paris that he first met Satine, the two finding each other on the streets and playing together, wholly uncaring about their differences in social class.At the age on ten, due to concerns about his health, Henri and his mother returned to Albi for a time in hopes that it might provide some respite. At the age of thirteen, he fractured his right leg, and his left at age fourteen, with the breaks not healing properly, thus leading to his use of a cane with which to walk, and potentially his stunted growth, leaving him with a disproportionate torso in comparison to his legs.In 1882, he returned to Paris, studying under painters there, and it was then that Toulouse was drawn to Montmartre and the Bohemian lifestyle. The young man settled there, establishing a group of friends among the other artists there, including Emile Bernard, Paul Gauguin, and Vincent Van Gogh. Slowly, Toulouse began garnering local attention and acclaim for his work. In 1889, with the opening of the Moulin Rouge cabaret, he was commissioned to produce a series of posters which provided another source of income separate from that provided by his family, something which was important to him. In 1893, he first met the Argentinian Santiago Diego Romero Ruiz, with the two striking up a quick friendship, and Toulouse quickly invited the younger man to come and share his apartment introducing him to the Moulin Rouge, and, unwittingly, the woman he would fall in love with.By 1899, the two wished to create a revolutionary play to help impart the Bohemian ideals, but were struggling to create the music to go with it. It was then that they met Christian, thus beginning their work together, a work that would end in tragedy that would deeply affect all those involved.  Canonical Fate    After the loss of Satine, Toulouse buries himself in his work and alcohol, determined to memorialise his muse as best he can while dealing with the crippling grief in his heart. Even work however is not enough, and as the first year of the new millenium draws to a close, his health begins to deteriorate once more. His parents were not married, with his father cutting all ties to his mother upon the realisation of her pregnancy, though she still insisted that Marcus use his father's surname. Any hope of encouraging a father and son relationship was dashed when Samuel was killed in a cart accident just a few months after Marcus was born. Still, Marcus was looked on with disdain, his mother looked on with disgust for having a child out of wedlock. Still, she was devoted to her son, working long hours to try and provide for him. Unfortunately, a bout of scarlet fever claimed her when Marcus was only five years old, leaving him an orphan.With nowhere else to go, Marcus was somewhat reluctantly taken in by his maternal grandparents. The circumstances of his birth however left him regularly ostracised by both them and other members of the family, and he quickly learned to fight back, first physically, but then with words, developing a sharp and cutting tongue and a general disregard for sensitivity in others.The moment he was able to, Marcus left home, first working in a club in London before he crossed the channel to France, relocating to Paris. He was seventeen years old when he found the Rouge, quickly gaining a position there, first as wait staff, and then as a swing. He is well known amongst the company for his guarded nature, very seldomly letting his guard down, and for his often catty behaviour. Despite all of this, he is an incredibly hard worker, and can be trusted to fill in just about any role required of him with zero fuss or fanfare.  Canonical Fate    Marcus continues to work in the Moulin Rouge after Satine's death, but is eventually forced to retire from the profession due to injury and chronic pain. He then turns to alcohol and drugs in order to self-medicate, and overdoses in 1909, aged 35.

Though his parents had a lavender marriage in order to mask both of their sexualities to the wider world, the two of them both loved their child dearly, the light of both their lives. Even as a child, Theo was particularly close to his father, often enjoying accompanying him on his business ventures and spending as much time with him as he could muster.School was less of an enjoyable activity for Theo. While he was quick to pick up concepts, he struggled with aspects of reading and writing which made his academic studies more difficult (in modern AUs, Theo is diagnosed dyslexic at the age of eight). Still, he persevered through school, though from an early age showed a considerable aptitude for the more artistic subjects, thoroughly enjoying painting and sketching and forever littering the family home with doodles and projects. Not that Harold and Anais ever complained, instead choosing to foster their child's interests.It was at the age of fourteen that Theo first told his parents that he did not feel like the daughter that they had been raising, but instead that he was a boy. Though it came as a bit of a surprise, his parents threw themselves into this revelation with gusto (and with a little experience on Harold's part, due to the wide variety of individuals he had come across through his line of work). They helped him to cut his hair, find new clothing, and he picked out his new name for himself. Theodore, nicknamed Theo (or sometimes Teddy), and middle name Harry, for his father. Though it wasn't easy, he had their support through every moment.The support continued with his desire to study the arts further, and Theo was delighted to earn a place at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels in Belgium. Though it was a big step for him to be moving away from his family, it was nonetheless an exciting time for him, enveloping himself in his studies and thriving in a world where everybody only knew him as Theo.Since finishing his studies, Theo has continued to travel, primarily between Brussels and Paris, but venturing out across Europe as well, painting and sketching and selling his work wherever he goes. He also develops an interest for photography when it comes to his school, learning the craft, and is the person to take photos for the Moulin Rouge whenever he's in the city.  Canonical Fate    After Satine's death, Theo chooses to remain more permanently in Paris, in order to support both his father, and the other denizens of the Moulin Rouge, as best he can. He establishes himself in business of the increasingly popular photography, charging high for those of the aristocratic upper classes, while offering minimal rates for those like the dancers of the Rouge. When his father dies, Theo is crushed with grief, closing his business for a time to return to living with his mother. Eventually, he returns to Paris and his business, with a reputation for being an eligible bachelor, though he never marries. He passes away in late 1920 of the Spanish flu.

Honey was born Aurelie De La Croix, fourth of five children and only daughter of Ferdinand, a vicomte of the French nobility. With three elder brothers, and then a younger one later on, she grew up feeling rather stifled and overprotected, with the expectation that she would behave like the perfect young lady, find a wealthy suitor and be wed. None of it was ever what she wanted. She wanted to see the world past her books and lessons, to explore, to have a chance at not being so ladylike.So one night, on a whim and with some fortune, she snuck out, creeping her way out of her family estate. It was on this night time flit that she found the Moulin Rouge, and a whole new world opened up to her, completely different from the rigid rules and looming fate of being betrothed. Fascinated, she formed plans to return whenever she could, and before long a new scheme of her own making had been created.Going under the alias of 'Honey', she began working at the Moulin Rouge, sneaking away from her family home to dance at the club before sneaking right back in afterwards. The whole thing felt liberating, and for some time, Honey kept up this double life without suspicion. The arrival of the Duke de Monroth however left her on edge, aware of the risk that the aristocrat might blow her big secret.  Canonical Fate    Satine's death and the surrounding fallout leads to Honey's work being discovered by her family. Disgraced, they force her to return to the family home, and within the year she is married off to her betrothed and sent to live with him at his country estate. She tries her best to keep in contact with her friends at the Moulin Rouge, but eyes on her make it difficult.

Rather self-explanatory, this verse takes the canon plot-line and simply shifts it into the modern day, with some minor differences (less death for one) and of course access to modern technology and social media, and the struggles that come with that. Consumption might be less of a concern now, but the company of the Rouge still has to deal with the general public, online fame and it's trappings, and of course there's still always that pesky issue of their wealthy patron's tastes. As a student, he was somewhat more troublesome, often foregoing studious behaviour for mischief, enjoying playing the class clown and having fun over following the rules too closely.As such, he ended up attending a variety of schools due to his trouble-making behaviour, much to his father's despair, and gained quite a reputation for being a flirtatious and thoughtless individual, not discriminating with his charm. Still, his parents insisted on him continuing with his education, and thus he found himself transferring from the Royal Winkie College, to Shiz University.On the way there, he first encountered Elphaba Thropp, the two of them getting off to a somewhat abrupt start. His first meeting with Galinda Upland was considerably more positive, with the two seeing kindred spirits in each other, and deeming that perhaps they might be 'perfect together'. The two started a relationship, and he was part of the friendship group that also contained Elphaba, Nessa Rose, and Boq.After the arrest of Dr Dillamond, and his and Elphaba's freeing of the lion cub, Fiyero began to realise he held feelings for Elphaba, with her being one of the first people to actually see him as he truly was, and see past his facade. Though he remained in his relationship with Glinda, still trying to process his own emotions, and was distraught when Elphaba became vilified by the Wizard. He attempted to find her, becoming Captain of the Guard in order to do so, and was drawn into the story being portrayed by Madame Morrible through Glinda and himself, being surprised to find them suddenly engaged. When he finally encounters Elphaba again in the Emerald City, he helps her escape, running away with her and leaving Glinda heartbroken. Fiyero and Elphaba confess their feelings for each other, but separate ways when she becomes concerned that something is wrong with Nessa.When next they reunite in Munchkinland, Fiyero once more helps Elphaba to escape, but this time is unable to join her, taken captive by the guards. There he is taken out and brutally beaten, saved from death only by Elphaba's magic, though in the process he is transformed into a scarecrow. At first, he develops a relationship with Galinda Upland, seeing her as on a similar level to himself.

Finishing up at Shiz, and after Elphaba's flight from the Emerald City and subsequent vilification, Fiyero is determined to find her, not believing for a second that she's the wicked witch that she has been made out to be. In order to assist with this hunt, he becomes Captain of the Guard, and also to his surprise, finds himself engaged to Glinda, though he does not reciprocate her feelings with the strength that she does.

He was however closer to the next born, the youngest child and baby sister Coralie when she was born, though she was still quite young whenever he left for university.Getting into Shiz University was like a dream come true for Boq (though nothing special to his family, not when two of his brothers had already graduated from there), because it meant finally a chance for freedom. A place where at least not everybody would be comparing him to his brothers, and where he might finally be able to garner some attention for himself. Upon enrolling, Boq developed an infatuation for fellow student Galinda Upland, and would regularly try to attract her attention by offering her assistance or company, though Galinda did not reciprocate such affections.A stickler for the rules, he was somewhat put out by the enrollment of Winkie Prince Fiyero Tigelaar, and even more so by Galinda's immediate gravitation towards him. At Galinda's request, and hoping to earn her favour, he invited Nessa Rose Thropp to the Ozdust Ballroom, though he could not go through with admitting this reasoning to Nessa, instead claiming that he had done so because of her beauty. Though Nessa had feelings for him, he did not reciprocate these, considering her more of a friend.After Elphaba's theft of the Grimmerie and subsequent vilification, Boq graduated from Shiz, and was drawn into work as an attendant to Nessa Rose, now the governor of Munchkinland after her father's death. To his despair, she began implementing laws and restrictions, removing Munchkin rights in order to keep him there with her, only serving to instigate a considerable bitterness in his heart towards her. Upon discovering that Elphaba has cast a spell on Nessa's shoes to aid her in walking, Boq sees this as a chance for his freedom, stating his intent to go and plead his feelings to Glinda. Nessa, incensed by this, misreads the Grimmerie, causing his heart to shrink, and in order to save him, Elphaba transforms the munchkin into a man made of tin. Boq flees, and shortly after encounters a young human girl named Dorothy.  Canonical Fate    After the supposed defeat of Elphaba, Boq returned to the Emerald City with Dorothy where he was gifted a placebo heart, made of silk and filled with sawdust by the Wizard. He remained there for a time, watching as Dorothy returned to Kansas, before eventually gaining a position of authority in Winkie Country, living in a tin palace.

  HOMETOWN    Unknown  CURRENT RESIDENCE    District Twelve  MUSE STATUS    Test  THAT'S CLERK CARMINE ON FIDDLE   Born on the road during the Dark Days, Clerk Carmine Clade, known affectionately during his younger years as CC, was the second and youngest son of Duncan Pewter and Annabel Sage Clade, with Billy Taupe being his elder brother by six years. Clerk Carmine was named for the ballad 'Clerk Saunders', and alongside his family and the rest of the Covey, they travelled between the districts. However, with the quashing of the rebellion, alongside his mother's ailing health, tragedy soon struck. First, his mother passed from illness, then his father, after assaulting a Peacekeeper, was killed, alongside the rest of the Covey adults. Clerk Carmine and his brother, alongside Tam Amber, Barb Azure, Lucy Gray, and Maude Ivory were taken in by a man in district twelve. There they raised themselves, and Clerk Carmine took up his mother's fiddle, learning to play the instrument from a young age, and performing with the other members.It was at the 10th Hunger Games that everything changed for the Covey, when their own Lucy Gray was reaped. The Covey waited, and watched what little they could manage, managing to see the interviews that occured and Lucy Gray's song, understanding the message of Billy Taupe's betrayal. Clerk Carmine was heartbroken and angry with his brother, joining the others in shunning him, much as it upset the twelve year old. Like his family, he was more than relieved to have Lucy Gray return to them as victor. That relief would not last for long though, for within a short span of time, he would be the second person after Maude Ivory to find his brother dead alongside the mayor's daughter, and soon after Lucy Gray would go missing.These events would have a lasting effect on Clerk Carmine, making him considerably more cautious and protective over those he loved, as well as slow to trust those outside his little family. He continued to grow, and as he was just exiting his teen years, he struck up a relationship with the son of the local window-fixer. The two would go on to remain together through the decades, keeping their love secret for fear of retaliation.As an adult, Clerk Carmine became the guardian, alongside Tam Amber, of Lenore Dove, raising the young girl like their own. Clerk Carmine was somewhat overprotective, as well as disapproving of her relationship with Haymitch Abernathy, concerned that it might bring more trouble to their doorstep. And he was right.  Canonical Fate    Clerk Carmine outlives his fellow Covey members, being seventy six during the seventy-fourth Hunger Games. He is seventy seven during the third quarter quell, and is among those rescued from the remains of district twelve by district thirteen. He plays the fiddle for Annie and Finnick's wedding there, and is one of those who chooses to return to resettle the area. His father Rex was a jeweller, his mother Zephryine the daughter of renowned goldsmiths, and he had two older siblings, an older brother Lord who was nine years older than him, and an older sister Finesse who was seven years older. For years after their daughter was born, his parents had tried and failed several times to have another child, so Marvel came as rather a surprise to them. As a result, the baby of the family was heavily doted on, and rather spoilt.Rather a mama's boy, Marvel was raised from the beginning to at least outwardly appear as a perfect representative of their family. Well-groomed, clever, charming, though rather a brat at times in private. From his first day at the academy, he clearly excelled, favouring a spear as his primary weapon, alongside a knife. Top of his class, he looked up to the district one victors, particularly the likes of Gloss and Cashmere, and had every intention of volunteering when it came time to do so.For the 74th Hunger Games, at the age of seventeen, Marvel volunteered, alongside his district partner Glimmer. What he did not expect was his mother's reaction to his volunteering; the way she clung to him in the justice building and sobbed, begged the peacekeepers to bring her baby back. He couldn't understand it - he was going to make them proud. That had always been the goal. In the Capitol, he played up the charm, the looks, and in training was awarded a score of nine. He would go on to be part of the career pack.  Canonical Fate    After trapping and killing Rue, Marvel is killed by Katniss with an arrow to the throat. He expedites his own death by removing the arrow, and overall places 8th in the 74th Hunger Games.

He forms the career pack alongside Clove, Marvel, Glimmer, and Tippet, alongside briefly Peeta, and later Fila, and vies for the leadership with Marvel. By the end of the games, he has a kill count of 5, among the highest of the tributes.  Canonical Fate    After killing Thresh in a long, drawn out fight, Cato is set upon by wolf mutts that drive him back towards the cornucopia and to Katniss and Peeta. Climbing the structure, he takes Peeta into a hold to protect himself from Katniss, however she fires an arrow into his hand, stunning him into letting go and stumbling back over the edge, falling to the mutts. He fights them for a while, but is overpowered, slowly being savaged by them, until finally Katniss puts him out of his misery at dawn.

He tells himself it is an honour, that he's achieved the dream he's had since he was a boy, but when the night comes, he can't help but find his dreams filled with horrors with gnashing teeth and all too familiar eyes.

Mizzen survives the drone attack long enough for Treech to kill Teslee, disabling the drone. The two then form an unsteady alliance, and through a combination of luck and chance, Mizzen is the last remaining tribute and winner of the 10th Hunger Games.

He has an elder sister Arden, who is two years his senior, and four younger siblings, twins Cooper and Devon who are three years his junior, Maeve who is is six years younger, and little Roan who is nine years younger than him. The family shared a small home together in one of the poorer parts of District 10, all those old enough working to manage the livestock that the district is known for. Still, it is not always enough, and Drove, like Arden before him, has taken tesserae each year to help provide for his family, in the hope that his younger siblings will not have to.It was at the age of ten years old that Drove was the unfortunate victim of an accident with some of the district's cattle. Though he survived and made a good recovery, the local healers were unable to prevent considerable damage to his lower right leg and foot. The skin there is puckered and scarred, and since then, the boy has walked with a considerable limp, though after some practice, he can admittedly move faster than most people would perhaps presume. There was little time to lay around. He had to get back to work. And so he did.When the year of the 74th Hunger Games rolls around, Drove gathers in the square like he has for the previous four years, this time with his twin brothers. With 45 slips in the bowl due to his age and tesserae, Drove already knew that the odds were not particularly in his favour, but it still didn't make it any less of a shock whenever his name was called alongside fifteen year old Filly Cortez. Bidding goodbye to his family, he found himself whisked off to the capitol.  Canonical Fate    Drove is reaped for the 74th Hunger Games, alongside 15 year old Filly Cortez, to represent District 10. While Filly was killed in the bloodbath, against all odds, Drove was able to last almost a week and a half before he was killed, ultimately coming in 10th place. VERSES  TENS TRIBUTE      —  Canon. 
A canon verse, from Drove's childhood, right through to his reaping and participation in the 74th annual Hunger Games. Unless otherwise discussed, there is no happy ending for Drove in this verse. He will always be doomed to die.

  AGAINST ALL ODDS    —   AU. 
Things are a little different. Drove is reaped a year earlier, and against all odds, and what everybody would have predicted, he remains standing at the end as the victor. He returns to district 10 to a new home in the victor's village, but life will never be the same. And when the sparks of rebellion start, Drove throws himself into the thick of it. Her then fiance Marcus Hewer vanished a week later, leaving only a note behind stating that he was not ready to be a father. Uncertain of what else to do and estranged from her parents, Kathryn agreed that her child would become one of Brenner's lab subjects, that they would be well looked after and that she would have regular access to them, though they would not know her as their mother. Multiple complications arose throughout the pregnancy, leaving Kathryn bedbound and week. On August 29th, 1969, Kathryn gave birth to a son, though passed away shorted after from the trauma of the birth. She named her son Daniel, though he would never be called as such while in the lab, instead being known as subject #010.Subject #010 was born at 11 weeks premature and considerably underweight, and as such spent a number of months as a newborn in the infirmary under constant supervision and monitoring until he had reached a healthy weight and any medical problems were deemed to have been corrected. It was noted at this point that #010 was in possession of a rare blood type, and so plans were put in place to make sure that the laboratory could obtain some in case of emergency. Though still a little frail, #010 quickly joined subjects #007 and #009 in the infant room and remained there until the age of four, when he was transferred to join the rest in the rainbow room. As an infant, subject #010 was noted to be overall quieter than all of the other children. He rarely cried or whimpered, and instead would often simply watch people, though doctors determined that there were no issues with his hearing. Subject #010 was simply quiet.It took subject #010 three months longer to begin speaking than the other children, however when he did, #010 showed a greater range of vocabulary from the offset. Even after this point however, subject #010 still was less likely to speak than his peers. He would often have to be coaxed into giving verbal responses if placed in situations in which he did not have to vocally answer. This continued through subject #010's time in Hawkins National Laboratory.Like his other siblins, subject #010 displayed certain psionic abilities as the result of experimentation. For #010, this seemed to be a particular proclivity for extra-sensory perception, where he displayed among the highest scoring amongst his brothers and sisters. Subject #010 also developed a close relationship with Dr Martin Brenner. He would frequently take lessons with him, as results seemed to prove more positive when this was the case. Indeed #010 would even on some occasions joke with Dr Brenner. Whilst spending free time in the rainbow room, subject #010 displayed particular interest in the magic '8' ball that had been provided as one of the many toys on offer. #010 could frequently be found sitting with the ball and shaking it, sometimes allowing it to give him a random answer, and on other occasions, using his abilities in order to make it read what he wanted it to say. He would further use this toy as a means of communication when presented with a question to which the answer could be yes, no, or somewhere in between.On September 8th, 1979, the orderly known the children as Peter Ballard, actually Henry Creel, or subject #001, regained the use of his full abilities and went on a massacre. At that time, subject #010 was participating in extra lessons with Dr Brenner and had been asked to 'look in' on the lessons of Dr Ellis and subject #006, and relay what they were doing. It was while doing this that subject #010 unwittingly also eavesdropped on their muder by #001. Communicating this information to Dr Brenner through tears and a bloody nose, the alarms went off, and the last thing subject #010 saw was the door being blown off the hinges, and then darkness.Subject #010 woke up later in the infirmary with no memory of what had happened beyond going with papa for extra lessons. Choosing to spare the boy's innocence, Dr Brenner elected to tell him that his brothers and sisters had merely gone away, but that he would stay here with papa and with subject #011, who had fallen into a coma. Ever the dutiful subject, #010 remained learning and training in the lab, at least until the events of 1983, when something sinister was set loose on Hawkins, Indiana. With everything that followed, #010 was moved, alongside Dr Brenner, to the new lab in Nevada, where he remained until #011 was brought back to them.  Canonical Fate    Within the confines of canon, Ten is killed during the Hawkins Lab Massacre in 1979 by Henry Creel. Within his canon divergency, he lives, and remains in the lab until the events of season 4 where he returns to Hawkins with the Cali crew.

VERSES  THE RAINBOW ROOM      —  Canon. 
A verse set within #010's time as one of the many child subjects of Hawkins National Laboratory. This verse continues up until the events of the 1979 massacre. At the time, #010 is ten years old, two years older than #011, and may often use the magic '8' ball within the presence of the rainbow room in order to answer yes/no questions.

  THE REMAINING SUBJECTS    —   Canon. 
Set between the events of the 1979 massacre, and Will Byer's disappearance. #010 and #011 are the only surviving subjects, and lessons must continue. When #011 escapes, #010 is left there alone, and then brought to Nevada with Brenner.

  PAPA'S BOY    —   Canon. 
After surviving the demogorgon attack, Dr Brenner decides it is time for them to leave. Taking #010 with him, the two relocate to a new lab facility in Nevada. The sole remaining experiment, #010's training increases. This follows right through the events of season four.


  BACK TO HAWKINS    —   Canon. 
#001 is wreaking havoc in Hawkins and #011 is determined to go back, and to bring her brother with her. #010 is torn between the sister he cares for and the only father figure he's ever known. But when Brenner is killed, the two flee with the Byers boys, Mike, and Argyle. In the ensuing fight against #001, #010 is able to join in the piggyback into Max Mayfield's mind and aid his sister in the battle. Afterwards, he travels with the group back to Hawkins, a place he hasn't seen in three years, and a place in ruins. With what home he had and what people he knew gone, it's time for #010 to start anew.


  A NEW BEGINNING    —   AU.  If in 1983, #010 is found by Jim Hopper in his exploration of the lab. If in 1984, he is discovered when the lab is shut down after investigation. Either way, he is found a new home in Hawkins and must begin to learn how to navigate the real world.

Though he was a sickly infant, he pulled through after some worry by his parents, and though he remained on the smaller side, he was still a fighter. Unfortunately for the family, Calc would be lost when Fila was only two years old, after complications to an injury from a factory accident. As such, Fila was raised almost entirely by his mother.Though the two of them didn't have much, they had each other, and that was really all they cared about. Fila excelled in school, showing real promise, and was already working small factory jobs alongside school, picking up a lot of skills with technology through this. If anything broke around the house, Fila could fix it, and he would often help their neighbours as well where he could.Unfortunately, luck was not on his side. At only thirteen years old, Fila heard his name called out at the reaping of the 74th Hunger Games, and unsurprisingly, nobody volunteered for him. Smart as he was, he knew his chances were slim.  Canonical Fate    During the 74th Games, Fila ends up teaming up with the career pack out of self-preservation, and is the one to reset and place the mines around the collection of supplies. However, when Katniss destroys them, Cato kills Fila in anger.

Though their family was not one amongst the upper echelons of Capitol citizens, they still had a very comfortable life, rarely wanting for anything, though indeed Orion was never the sort of child to ask for much. Their older brother Hydrus followed their father into the medical world, while their elder sister Lyra is a stylist within the games, primarily working with District 4. They also have a younger brother Vesper, who is five years their junior.Even as a small child, Orion took rather a notion to music, and showed quite the aptitude for it too. Always tinkling away on the family piano, or singing along to the radio any chance they got, it quickly became noticed amongst first the family, then extended relatives and friends, that they had quite a talent. It was common for Orion to be asked to sing at family gatherings or local parties, and as time went on, more notice began to be taken.At the tender age of sixteen, Orion was spotted by talent scout Marcellus Carson. That was where their life of fame began, quickly endeared to the hearts of Capitol citizens with their fresh, youthful appearance and sweet voice. They became a near overnight sensation, and life became a whirl of performances, signings, interviews, appearances, everyone wanting to know a little bit more about the new teen heartthrob. There's barely a moment to catch their breath, and by the time of the 74th Games, their single 'My Little Atomic Bomb' is played constantly. While Leo worked in a factory, Saoirse served as a maid for a rich family, and Albert was often left in the care of neighbours while his parents worked. Unfortunately, when Albert was just three years old, his father passed away, leaving his mother to provide for the two of them on her wage alone.Though she did not remarry, Saoirse began a relationship with another man when Albert was six, leading to the birth of his half brother Adam (b. 1890) and half-sister Lucy (b.1892). Albert did not get along well with his mother's new partner, nor did the man hold any great love for the idea of raising another man's son. The two were often at odds, and it wasn't entirely unusual to see Albert with a black eye or similar bruising. At eight years old, he began selling newspapers, becoming friends with one Racetrack Higgins, the two quickly becoming thick as thieves, as well as others like Finch, Specs, and Henry.At the age of ten, despite that it was only supposed to be for children with no living family, Albert began to live in the lodging house full time, preferring it there, and avoiding as much contact with his actual family as he could. He was fully taken under the wing of a big known as Stretch, and would often sell alongside Race. When he was old enough, he would take littles of his own under his wing, including Buttons.

  HOMETOWN    Manhattan, New York  CURRENT RESIDENCE    Manhattan, New York  MUSE STATUS    Secondary  WITH A NICE CLEAR PICTURE!   archie o'malley was born the youngest child of factory workers in spring 1888, with two older siblings, a brother and a sister. though the family was poor, he lived a relatively happy life until a few days before his seventh birthday. while playing out on the streets with his siblings, archie was struck by a carriage, and spent several weeks in a coma, being attended to by doctors.when archie woke up, at first his parents were overjoyed. however it quickly became clear that something wasn't quite right. archie struggled with speaking, and though he seemed to find it easier to repeat things, it was seldom that he could put together full sentences of his own volition, and when he did, his speech was slow and somewhat laboured, though his writing ability was unaffected.unable to handle having to deal with a disabled child, and already planning to leave the city, his father brought him out into the square one day, said goodbye to him, and then left him there. it was there that he was found the next day sleeping on a bench by one of the newsies: specs. specs managed to communicate with him through a variety of simple questions and writing words in the dirt, and brought him back to the lodge house that night. there, he quickly became friends with another boy his age known as buttons. when going out to sell, they found it was easiest for him if one of the other newsies told him the headline verbally, and he was then usually able to repeat it throughout the day and this got him his nickname: echo.  Canonical Fate

He doesn't recall much before being a newsie, only flashes of people he can only presume are his parents. He was taken in by the newsies at four years old, looked after by two bigs known as Coco (who aged out just two years later), and Stitches. It was from Stitches that Finch learnt just about everything he knows about patching people up, and in turn, he took over as the de facto medic of the Lower Manhattan newsies. He keeps a small shoebox under his bed with whatever supplies he can scrounge, just in case anybody gets into a scrap or has a fall.Growing up in the lodging house, Finch is close friends with many of the other newsies, particularly with Race and Albert, as well as Crutchie (who he harbours a secret crush on, though he will never admit it). Despite being amongst the oldest, Finch turned down the opportunity to be one of Jack's lieutenants when it was offered, adamant that leadership was very much not for him. He's known for often taking on more littles than the others, with his current charges being the twins Mike and Ike.Additionally, Finch once had a little known affectionately as Streak (due to them stumbling across the boy when he had, due to coal dust, a streak of dark across his otherwise light hair). However, when a nasty strain of flu hit the lodging house in 1897, Streak, already an asthmatic, became ill, his condition worsening into pneumonia, and he sadly passed away. The loss left Finch distraught, and since then he has become particularly anxious in regards to the other's health.  Canonical Fate

Born in Glasgow in the spring of 1890, ten minutes after his twin brother Isaac (known affectionately as Ike), the first four years of his life were relatively idyllic, all things considered. However, when he was four years old, his father Rory passed away after a short illness, leaving the family without a main breadwinner.Seeking new opportunities, his mother Alice took her boys, alongside her aging father, and emigrated to America, arriving in Ellis Island in 1894. It was a rather terrifying experience for the twin boys, burying their father, then being cooped up in close quarters on a boot, then the towering halls, with Mike half hiding in his mother's skirts. They found a tiny single room to rent in Manhattan, and Alice sought work. But grief weighed heavily on her mind, for both her husband and the home she'd left behind, and after a year of struggling to make ends meet, entirely overwhelmed, she tucked her boys into bed, kissed their hair, and then took her own life. It was Mike who found her, curling up beside his mother after failing to wake her.The household under their grandfather's rule was not a particularly pleasant one, and the twins ended up running away. Taken in by the newsies at age six, they've found their place for now, and plenty remark at just how different they are. Indeed, in their new home it is a rare thing to find the twins together at all, and interestingly, both of them seem rather the happier for it.  Canonical Fate

His father was largely absent, barely involving himself with the family, but he didn't care. As long as he had his mother, he was happy. And when his baby sister Isabel was born in 1888, he was even more excited, every part the devoted big brother.With an extra mouth to feed, Race began to work at the age of five, shining shoes on the street. It wasn't much, but it was a little extra cash, especially given his mother had been frail ever since Isabel's birth, and his father had finally vanished for good. Still, the little family soldiered on, and though they had very little to their name, there was an immense amount of love between them.Unfortunately it would not last. In 1890, when Race was seven, scarlet fever swept through their apartment block. He was the first to contract it, nursed day and night by his beloved mother, but when he recovered, it became clear that she had also contracted it, followed by his baby sister. Race did his best to look after them, but sadly they both passed, Isabel first, a few months shy of her second birthday, and then their mother, only a week later.With nowhere else to go, Race ended up on the street, and was quickly taken to the refuge, where he spent a little over a year. It was there that he first met Jack Kelly, and when he left the refuge the other was able to find him a place with the Manhattan newsies. He began selling papers, quickly finding friends amongst them and earned his nickname due to both his running around, and his propensity for the racetracks. Indeed, he would be one of the few newsies from outside Brooklyn to be allowed to sell there.  Canonical Fate

  HOMETOWN    Manhattan, New York  CURRENT RESIDENCE    Manhattan, New York  MUSE STATUS    Primary  ABOUT TIME YOU SHOWED UP!   splasher doesn't remember an awful lot before being a newsie. if he concentrates sometimes, he can remember his ma, hugging him, rocking him to sleep, calling him sammy. he can remember her bringing him to the square and sitting him down, telling him, promising that she'd come back for him. except she never did come back, and the nearly four year old was left waiting as the weather took a turn.it was then that he was found by some of the manhattan newsies and taken in by them. it didn't take long for him to learn from them, though he's almost always accompanied by one of the older newsies to help keep an eye on him and make sure he's safe. most frequently he can be found hanging around race or finch, though he also very much hero worships jack.overall, splasher (nicknamed for the fact that he'd been splashing in puddles when they'd taken him in) is a cheerful kid, if a little nervous sometimes. he can be a little shy at first meeting, but quickly warms up to people. additionally, he is pretty scared of both the delancey brothers and wiesel.after the strike, the unthinkable happens. his mother returns, none other than hannah, pulitzer's secretary, finally with the ability to find and look after her boy. he gets to go home, to have his own room and his own bed, though he still spends the days selling newspapers with his friends.  Canonical Fate

  HOMETOWN    Queens, New York  CURRENT RESIDENCE    Brooklyn, New York  MUSE STATUS     WE'LL KICK YOU HALFWAY TO QUEENS   lizzie bailey was born in queens in 1888, the younger sister of joel. their family was already dysfunctional at best, with neither of their parents being particularly pleasant people, however it was when lizzie was three and a hand was raised to her for the first time that her brother decided enough was enough. pulling together what little they had, including her baby blanket, and the two left. at first, joel sold newspapers in queens, quickly earning the nickname 'specs'.unfortunately it quickly became clear that the two weren't safe from their parents while staying in their home borough, and after travelling, specs came to a difficult decision. that for the sake of his sister, it would be safer if they separated. incredibly reluctantly, specs left lizzie in the care of brooklyn, before joining the ranks of the manhattan newsies.as lizzie got older, her affinity for the local wildlife quickly became clear, with the young girl regularly giving up considerable portions of her food in order to feed all the stray animals of brooklyn. as such, she became known as stray, and was the reason behind the rumour of spot conlon having a pack of wild dogs (in truth a group of puppies that she'd rescued). when spot conlon became leader of brooklyn, stray was finally able to reunite with her brother in occasional visits, and in 1899 after the conclusion of the strike, they had the freedom to visit each other any time they liked.  Canonical Fate

  HOMETOWN    Upper East Side, New York  CURRENT RESIDENCE    Manhattan, New York  MUSE STATUS     A BARBER SHOP HAIRCUT THAT COSTS A QUARTER   born in the upper east side in 1886, his father was a lowly factory worker, his mother the youngest daughter of a well-to-do family still clinging onto their riches. his mother's family were not impressed by either their son-in-law or their new grandson, but begrudgingly allowed them to stay in the family home for propriety's sake. tommy grew, accustomed to the disdain of both his father and his grandparents, growing close with his mother, even as his younger sister was born in 1892, and his younger brother in 1894. however, in late 1897, tommy's mother passed away after illness, and her parents saw this opportunity to remove them from the home, giving their father a small stipend as consolation.moving from the east side to lower manhattan where they could afford somewhere to stay, tommy boy's father quickly blew through the stipend, and it was clear that if tommy wanted himself and his siblings to eat, he would need to find work of his own. that was how he first found himself approaching the newsies of lower manhattan, where he was taken under the wing of jack kelly.in the summer of 1899, the newsies of lower manhattan went on strike. however, after considerable pressure and threats of violence from his father, as well as promise of more money from the delancey brothers, tommy boy elected to scab. he was, however, won around by jack, and rejoined the strike.  Canonical Fate

Though it was uncertain at first if he might succumb to the same fate, despite being a frailer child, Aeron defied the odds. He was born and raised in Stone Edge, the seat of House Bracken, and began squiring to his uncle Amos at a young age. In 119AC, his father was killed in a hunting accident, and his mother was never quite the same, though she took some reassurance and comfort in her only child.As a boy, Aeron was briefly friendly with another boy from the Riverlands by the name of Davos. However their friendship was to be short lived, pulled apart when their families realised who the other way. Aeron was warned, you can never trust a Blackwood. It confused him, but he obeyed, and as the years passed, his relationship with Davos became one of hurled insults and barbed remarks, constantly needling at each other where once they had played. Aeron was knighted in the summer of 131AC.In 132 AC, after the death of King Viserys and the outbreak of the dispute as to who would reign next, Aeron's uncle Amos, now lord of the house, chose to side with the Greens and pledge his house's fealty to Aegon II Targaryen. This allegiance would once more spark the ever burning feud between House Bracken and House Blackwood, who had declared for Rhaenyra.  Canonical Fate    Aeron loses his life at the Battle of the Burning Mill, following an argument with Davos Blackwood.
